Jacob is a guitarist and trumpeter with experience in education, composition, recording and live performance. He is a Newcastle University BA Music graduate and is currently studying for an MMus (Master of Music) with a focus on the guitar.

 

While his musical education is rooted in classical music, Jacob’s professional career is primarily centred around jazz and contemporary music and sees him performing in a number of bands in Newcastle and around the North.

 

As a tutor, he encourages students to find the music that they love to play, teaching techniques and theory that span across a wide range of genres and musical styles.
